Dylan's 5th album was released in 1965 and made music history by combing "folk " with "rock n' roll" thus CREATING FOLK-ROCK. included: "SUBTERRANEAN HOMESICK BLUES".
Dylan's 6th album released in August 1965 contained his first rock hit, "LIKE A ROOLLING STONE." It rose to #2 in the charts.
Dylan's 7th album, released May 1966, completed his transformation to Rock. "RAINY DAY WOMEN" reached #2
Robert A. Zimmerman was born May 24, 1941 in Minnesota. He moved to New York City in 1961 and began singing for tips on street corners. He changed his name to Bob Dylan in honor of the eclectic poet Dylan Thomas. Dylan's last album "SHADOWS IN THE NIGHT" was released in 2015 at age 74.
