The FIRST "TV WAR."  The constant exposure fueled the Anti War movement.

The first war to be watched on TV EVERY NIGHT.  Television was gaining in popularity and "color Televisions" would soon be common.  Many believed that we were "ON THE EVE OF DESTRUCTION." (Barry McGuire)

AGENT ORANGE is used to defoliate the Ho Chi Minh Trail

Not only killed vegetation but also maimed and killed people including U S Soldiers.

U S troops increasingly come under siege.

"WE GOTTA GET OUTTA THIS PLACE" by the Animals  became the anthem of U S Soldiers.

Approximately 2,500 Americans were held captive.  Many in jungle pits.

Napalm was dropped from the air to protect U S troops.  It burst a clinging & burning (1,500 - 2,000 degree)  jelly like substance.

Parents began marching and  joined the anti-war movement.
